Business Line of Credit: Flexible Capital on Demand

A business line of credit gives you access to a set credit limit you can draw from and repay repeatedly as needed. Unlike a term loan, you only pay interest on what you use. It's one of the most flexible financing tools for businesses with recurring capital needs.

How a business line of credit works

You're approved for a maximum credit limit. You draw only what you need, when you need it. You repay the drawn amount (plus interest). That repaid amount becomes available to draw again.

This revolving structure is well-suited to recurring, cyclical, or unpredictable needs — inventory, payroll gaps, seasonal swings, or ongoing marketing spend.

Best use cases

  • Recurring inventory purchases
  • Managing seasonal cash flow gaps
  • Payroll coverage during slow periods
  • Ongoing marketing and advertising spend
  • Short-term working capital
  • Emergency business expenses

Potential advantages

Pay interest only on what you draw
Revolving access — repay and redraw
Fast access once approved
Flexible for recurring needs

Considerations

Often higher rates than term loans
Credit limit may be lower than a term loan amount
Not ideal for large one-time purchases
Annual or maintenance fees on some products
